Project of the Month - CD Folder Album

May 09

We made a similar project at stamp camp a few weeks ago. Since I wanted to make another one, I just had to add more to it! I used Parisian Breeze Specialty paper, one of my favs!

To make this album you need:

1 blank Cardboard CD case
4 pieces 5 1/8 x 5 1/8 designer paper - 2 of these get cut in 1/2
1 piece 5 1/8 x 3 1/4 designer paper
1 piece 3 1/2 x 5 1/8 designer paper for cover spine
1 piece cardstock 5 x 11
2 pieces cardstock 5 x 5
1 piece cardstock 5 x 10
Decorations as desired
Red Sticky Tape
20 inches Ribbon
Pretties Kit
Big Shot Dies

Score the 5 x 11 pieces of cardstock at 5, 5 3/4, 6 1/2, 7 1/4 and 8 inches.

After it is scored this is what it should look like. You are going to slide the smaller end into the front cover inside and the longer piece into the back. The only place you are going to affix this piece is at the top of the back cover. You want the front piece to be able to slide when you open it.

Here is the piece in place.

Lay the piece of designer paper on top of the CD case and find the edge of cover. Fold the designer piece there. I used Red Sticky Tape for all of these pieces.

Affix the half pieces of designer paper to the page pieces.

Use Red Line Tape to attach the page to the center of the album.

Attach with Sticky tape the top page pieces to the center page pieces

Add Ribbon and your spine piece. Decorate your album as desired. In the pictures you will see where the photos will go. I will cut circles for the flower centers and scallop circles. Once I add the pictures I will add some tags and a little bit more ribbon or brads. All of the decoration pieces were cut using the Big Shot.
