New Simply Sent Card Kit

July 12, 2007

I love this set and all of the bright colors. This was one of the things in my pre-order yesterday. The colors are just wonderful!!! Before I keep going on let me show you what I'm talking about.

These cards were made with a new Simply Sent Kit and everything you see below is included. You have enough materials for 9 of these cards, 3 of each design with some paper left over for 3 more cards. All for $15.95 when the new catalog comes out on August 10th. You even get the ribbon, brads and buttons!!! The only thing you have to do is stamp on your verse or saying. How easy is that? There is even a new stamp set to go with it called "Wow Flowers". All I can say is it would be great if we got wrapping paper to match! A girl can wish can't she?

I wish I had flipped over the piece of DP so you could see the other side! The cardstock with the kit is textured also. Did I tell you I love this set? It is gorgeous!

Instead of a Messy Desk, I have a Stamping Puppy!

I love this set and all of the bright colors. This was one of the things in my pre-order yesterday. The colors are just wonderful!!! Before I keep going on let me show you what I'm talking about.

My demo pre-order came today! I had got it all on the couch intending to start putting it away, until the phone rang. So Miss Lola decided to investigate. I am so glad I keep the camera on my desk because I would of missed this picture otherwise. I guess she couldn't wait to see what was in those boxes.

She was so pleased with herself!

Since I already had the camera out, here are a couple more pictures of my messy couch. I like the colors much better than I thought I was going to, especially the pink and kiwi.

I plan to do some stamping later so I should have some previews for you tomorrow. I was so looking forward to the new Sock Monkey Stamp Set but SU forgot to include it, so I am still waiting for it. Oh well, I have lots of other new stuff to play with!!!

Star Balloon Box filled with Pixie Sticks

July 10, 2007

Okay so there are no balloons! There will be next week as these are table decorations for a fundraiser I am working on. My intent is put 3 helium balloons in each and attach the weight to the bottom of the star box and refill with the pixie sticks. It should create a festive centerpiece.

Star Box Pattern - I cut mine at 5 inches high

Project: Star Box Balloon Holder
Paper: Flowers For You DP, Lovely Lilac CS, Tempting Turquoise CS, Certainly Celery CS, White CS
Ink: Lovely Lilac
Stamp Set: Life's A Breeze
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Scallop Punch, Star Punches, both sizes, Circle Punches, Quick Kutz Sandals (There are sandals in the stamp set but this was a way to do it without cutting since I had them.)

I was just checking this page for something and realized I had not posted how I had used these with the balloons and it is August! So I am a little slow! Here they are on the day of the party. They made the room so festive.

I really had good intentions of getting back here last week with a new card for you. Then a family emergency came up and I was gone until the day before yesterday. I went over yesterday to my uplines house to help her design some recipe pages which I will be sharing tomorrow.  I got busy last night and got this card done to post today. I have had this set for awhile and had wanted to color it for some time. It is gorgeous in real life, I sure wish I took better pics so you could see the sparkle on  this card!

Stampin Up Starts a New Year With Big News!

July 1, 2007

When I got up this morning I got a small preview of our new catalog and a chance to pre-order some of new offerings including the new In Colors. I am not so sure about a couple of them but will hold off deciding until I have it in my hands. One of the new Level 2 Hostess Stamps is a Sock Monkey! I remember my grandmother making them for the younger kids one Christmas. I ordered it so you will be seeing it soon. I also ordered Deer Friends, a cute stamp set that is like Batty For You, only it is Christmas, it also comes in Spanish, with a Santa with the words "from the guy with the red suit", snowman "sweet treat", reindeer, present, Christmas tree, swaddled baby with a shining star, ect. As soon as my stuff gets here, I'll be adding some new cards to give you a preview. I hope it is soon as it will be fun to be able to do some convention swaps with new stuff!

The best news of all that is that all new stamp sets will now be die cut! I am so excited because I hate cutting stamps. It wastes the time I could be stamping. You can also start ordering Decor Elements today!

While supplies last there is also a Hodgepodge Hardware Promotion until August 10th.

Item # Item Regular Price Limited Time 25% off Discount
105532 Aged Copper Hodgepodge Hardware $27.95 $20.96
105531 Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware $27.95 $20.96
105515 Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware $27.95 $20.96

That's it for now... I'll be back with a new card tomorrow!!! I did put up the July Project of the Month, a cute Pull Out Scrapbook
